तू -मैं पेड़ हैं

At night I dream that you and I are two plants
             that grew together, roots entwined,
                        and that you know the earth and the rain like my mouth,
                                      since we are made of earth and rain.
रात में सपना ये देखूं कि तू -मैं पेड़ हैं दो 
                         उगे जो साथ में, जड़ें  जिनकी  गुंथी,
                                      जानती तू  धरा -वर्षा को जैसे मेरा मूंह ,
                                                          क्यूंकि हम दोनों बने हैं मिट्टी -पानी से !
